We had just migrated one of our major databases on Thursday, so taking off on Friday would be equivalent to quitting my job....
So I needed to do something about my stinking jealousy Friday...so my oldest daughter Eva and I drove far enough south to hit good weather... Lookout Mountain, arrived in the middle of a party with live music and plenty to drink, made my first cliff launches in a variety of conditions including calm and a 15 mph wire crew assisted launch...
Got my daughter in a glider for the first time and started her on the training hill.
Except for the broken down tube on a too early flare (yes, Greg I remembered to hold the flare, but somehow I didn't...) it was a great weekend.

Although I didn't report it due to Larry's accident on Mmemorial day, I flew my Arcus paraglider at Bill's that day and had one of the most fun flights I've ever had, did laps up and down the ridge and had a blast working light thermals in the valley. Its really striking what a different world flying seems to be from the vantage point of the slower flying and more sensitive PG.
Weather permitting, I may attempt a repeat tomorrow.
Marc
