Good to be back!
Bruce Engen and I had a pretty good day at Manquin. We were getting about 1,000 ft on a truck tow into a SW flow. It cycled up and down. I thought the therms were small and punchy but that may be my Calif bias. Had 5 to 6 kts at times. I managed 2600 ft and half an hour or so. Bruce did about the same -- although he was a few minutes shy of what he needed for his H 3.
My descent into old geezerdom continues apace. What I forgot to do today by Steve Kinsley Age 58. Today I forgot to hang on to the string on the cart. The glider popped out almost immediately. Would have been ok but Steve W had to change gears on the truck which left me sinking rapidly to the deck in the power shortage. Release and half-assed flare. Maybe I should take up bowling.
