Hi out there,
since nobody wanted to make you feel bad about not being able to fly on such a beautiful day, I'll just go ahead and give you the bare facts: 6 Hangliders getting between 5 and 180min air time with 0 to 5800(!) feet over 2 Paragliders getting 4flights with 5 to 20 min air time and 0 to 500 feet over.
Conditions wind N-NNE 15-23+ mph dropping considerably after 5pm.
Happy dreams
Wolf

I flew!! Two very fun flights at Highland Aerosports -- first flights for me since October. It felt good to be in the air again.(!!) Also flying were Steve K, Geoff, Steve V (Lesley and Dylan didn't fly), Exxtacy Bruce, Joe McM, and a guy taking a tandem flight. A few pilots soared for a bit; Sunny and the tandem student may have had the longest flight.
Even though mine were short flights, it was great fun to be airborne.

Yes, wednesday was good everywhere. I got to launch around noon and was in the air by 1:30. Conditions at launch were 10 with gusts to 20 during the big sink cycles. Bob launched right behind me and we both climbed out to about 1000' over. Then I lost site of Bob for at least half an hour as I struggled down low, sometimes below launch just waiting for the big one to come thru. It finally did, I was down by the east lookout about 400' over. It turned on slow but eventually turned into 600fpm to 4000'. Then conditions seemed to improve, although the thermals stayed pretty ratty even high. I hooked back up with Bob and we flew together for awhile. I went for a nice looking cloud street to the west that was still working when I got to it. I topped out at 5800' over launch then flew under the street making only a few turns to the middle of the valley, (Ringtown). I turned back to see where Bob was, but he was gone on his way to the Sac. I landed after about an 1:45 in the main L/Z. I hiked back up top and launched John Wiseman. He had a short soaring flight and landed at Danny's. Shawn had a nice flight, after launching and going right to 3500' in the first themal But he decided that wasn't high enough so he took the next one to 4400! Lenko also had a very nice launch and 15minute soaring which he could have extended but he wanted to reach the L/Z with plenty of altitude where he had a nice landing. Randy was the first to launch and flew for a 1/2hour in what he described as "punchy air". John , Ziggy and Wolfgang were the paraglider pilots who showed up. (Thanks for your help on launch.) I saw John and Wolfgang soar but I'm not sure if Ziggy flew or not.
