On Friday, April 26, 2002, Ed Reno perished in a
launch accident at The Pulpit, McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. The
details of the accident will be reported to USHGA and the hang
gliding community following a formal investigation.
For the readers of Hangola, we wish to express sympathy to Ed's
family and many friends. We will miss Ed's wit, cheery disposition,
positive personality, enthusiasm for life, and passion for
flying.
We take consolation that Ed passed from this world engaged in the
activity that gave him some of the greatest pleasure, freedom, and
fulfillment that he had known. Honoring this memory, Ed's family
spread his ashes to the winds at the Pulpit on Saturday, May 4.
