Both Monday and Tuesday were nice at Woodstock. Monday was a barely
trickling in thermal day with nicely formed and consistent light lift.
Yesterday was a perfect Harrisonburg run day -- slight west cross and no
therms to speak of. The ridge was a solid as I have ever felt it with
lift to 2500 over. But no driver so had to stop at the end of Short
Mtn.
Flew with Randy Leggett and Doug somebody or other from the Delaware
Gapclub. They both had topless Avian Java's which they raved about.
Didn't even know the Java had a topless version. Anyway, I couldn't stay
with them on the run back from Short. I guess topless makes a difference
ps. Got a call from Bob Gillessee. He flew HR yesterday and is heading out to do it again today. Supposedly NW again tomorrow. I hate it when this happens.
