Steve Kinsley and I went to Bill's Hill today. It was a beautiful day. The wind was coming straight in at 3-5mph. Steve had an extended sled and I sledded around 3:00pm. We both hiked up to the top (I'm really out of shape!) and took our cars down to the LZ. We decided to try another flight.
This time the air was a little more bouyant (birds were soaring), and blowing 5-10, but not enough to keep us up. We're 0 for 3 in soaring attempts the past two Wednesdays. Things have got to improve. Still, we had fun and got some exercise to boot. We may try again on Friday.

Steve Kinsley and I went to High Rock today. It was blowing straight in very lightly. Lots of birds were soaring. We each had two sleds. Steve said he got about 30 feet over on one of his flights before sinking out. Christy and Doug also showed up and took their turns. At the end of the day, the wind picked up and it was looking potentially soarable, but it was getting late. The grass is knee high in the LZ.
