I had a class at Taylor on Saturday with 4 students and they each got between 4 - 7 flights. Also there for a flight or two was Dan Tomlinson, Craig Shelton, and one other pilot. Conditions were mostly cross left but occasionally only slightly cross. Got more easterly (severe left cross) in the late afternoon. Traffic going down 95 was pretty bad adding 1/2 hour to the commute. Seems traffic going south on 95 during the weekend gets especially bad in August.

I went yesterday evening on the theory that it would be blowing NE today.
It was nice. Didnt get very high -- 700 over. Guess I shoulda called people but I thought the chance of it being blown out until late was more than 50 50. So I didnt .. Good luck. Blowing due north here.

Nice day at the Sac today; I heard that Bacil launched around 10:30 and got a few hours; others launched intermittently and got a workout in the stronger air between 12:00-3:00; it got sweet about 3:30 when the valley lifted off. Gains were in the 3.5K range and people were still high when I left at 6:00. Some folks were on their way to the river with Bacil running retrieve. I guess we'll here tomorrow what came of that effort.

Brian Hardwick, Skip Brown and I flew High Rock yesterday. Beautiful day although the flying wasn't great. Some fun extended sleds where you fight and almost do it but not quite.. I actually managed 1,000 over once at which point the sink alarm came on and didn't shut up until I hit the deck. Skip got lost and couldn't find the field and we thought he was going to end up in the trees. Then he got lost climbing back up the mountain and ended up past the towers. He figured there was something wrong when he started going down the backside.
