Hangola December 30, 1999

ok day at Daniels. Really west and strong early; it was blowing straight down the road. Billy Vaughn launched in this and actually managed to get up for a short while but he was clearly getting his butt kicked. It straightened out some later and it was stay uppable but was still real west and not all that pleasant low and close to the ridge. Much nicer out over the road. I was getting 600 over max and I think that was pretty typical. Still, a nice warm sunny day. Rich, Terry, Claude.

News: Rich Lawrence is the CVHGA pres and says he is going to attempt to revive the CVHGA. I told him I liked the old CVHGA where I gave them a check for the dues every year but they never cashed it. That happened three years in a row. What a deal!. I hope he revives this fine Southern tradition. Rich claims a secret for real true actual SW site. Bergton or sumpin. Down toward Harrisonburg.
