Dear Groundbound : Dan Tomlinson, Greg DeWolf and I sledded but the mountain belched 15 minutes later and the rest of the crew (Steve Padgett, Nelson Lewis, Rich Lawrence, Mike Balk, Terry Spencer, um more) were wafted skyward for various times and altitudes. Oh well. Nice toasty warm sunny day and I enjoyed it.

There is a humongous high pressure on the way that should bring some nice weather next week so think about telling the boss you're sick. And give me a call. .

ps. The sailplane club that was based down in New Market (Skyline Soaring?) is moving to Front Royal A skyline member and neighbor of mine , Joe Reese, suggested that inasmuch as we will now be sharing the same section of ridge that we should have a get together of some sort. I said sure. Nelson Lewis was also approached on the same subject. Kevin Fleet, who used to fly hang gliders and who some of you might remember is supposed to contact me. I will let you know if anything develops. Maybe we can have a race to goal to the Front Royal airport and get a free beer.
