Death Notice
The owner of the Fisher Road primary landing zone, Monroe C. Daniels, passed away suddenly on February 20, apparently of heart problems. There had been no health history or indication that this might happen. Monroe was 54 years old. His father-in-law, Malcolm Osborne, lives on the property, and is the one most of us have spoken with when flying the site. Malcolm's daughter Donna and Monroe lived in Maryland, but kept their horses on the farm in Pennsylvania. They spent many weekends at the farm. Because of Monroe's love of the Pennsylvania countryside, the family interred him in nearby Breezewood.
John McAllister and Reading Landscape are donating an ornamental cherry tree for the family as a memorial. He and the club will arrange with the family an appropriate time for a planting. The CHGA is making a memorial donation to a horse rescue charity in Monroe's name. Malcolm's address at the farm is
