From The Prez.....

Spring... it came for a visit, flowers bloomed and I got a couple flights without gloves, it left, it's just around the corner. Winter was mild, thanks to El Nino. Hopefully we'll have another spring like last year. The XC season has started, already pilots have knocked off a few Woodstock to Harrisonburg runs and an Xtralite got busted up in a rowdy LZ. I recently got sustained climb rates of 900 fpm into a frigid sky and had to step off the elevator at 3000 over.

A few things to mark on your calendar, we're having a parachute pack on April 4-5 with alternate dates April 11-12 at the Fairgrounds. Larry Huffman and Pat Brooks will be there to help. Cost is 10 bucks a chute. Memorial Day fly-in, the usual place, Seneca Shadows camground, May 22-25. Call JR to confirm what dish to bring. Remember a few years ago when everybody brought meat? June 19-21, the new fly in at High Point. We also may want to have a work party on May 30-31 to work on launches and access roads.

Fast approaches, Mike
