A Word From The Prez.

Day one of the regionals, marginal conditions and the sky gods spank us mere mortals again. And one of them doing it on a Falcon, of all gliders. Some of us sheepishly packed up our topless wonders in the landing field, if we were even able to make that. The bailout at the Pulpit was full of gliders. I tried to make the primary and had in land in an alternate. It's still not too late to enter.

The latest word on the Memorial Day fly in is that we won't be having one this year. Group site E was taken as were all the rest. We couldn't find another group site in the area. We thought about camping in one of the fields near North Mountian as had been done long ago but that would have been too primitive for a group. No water is available and level ground is hard to find. Some of us may get private sites at Seneca Shadows, they are available on a first come, first serve basis, no reservations. Site E has been reserved for Labor Day so rest asured, we will have a fly in then.

Fly High,
Mike
